International Coastal Cleanup logoThe International Coastal Cleanup is sponsored by the Ocean Conservancy. Locally, Keep Manatee Beautiful coordinates Adopt-A-Highway, Road and Shore groups to clean their adopted sites.

2017 America Recycles Day at SandBlast @ Manatee Public Beach

Pro frontside1This fun family event draws attention to the natural beauty of our beaches. Held on the shores of the Gulf of Mexico at Manatee Public Beach on Anna Maria Island, amateur teams in school and adult divisions compete in a sand sculpture competition and raise funds to support Keep Manatee Beautiful’s programs. Learn the “Tips, Tricks and Techniques” of sand sculpture at free clinics taught by master sculptors Team Sandtastic from 5 to 6 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, while the competition is 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday.
