Held on the shores of the Gulf of Mexico at Manatee Public Beach on Anna Maria Island, amateur teams in school and adult divisions compete in a sand sculpture competition and raise funds to support Keep Manatee Beautiful’s programs. Learn the “Tips, Tricks and Techniques” of sand sculpture at free clinics taught by master sculptors Team Sandtastic from 5 to 6 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, while the competition is 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday.
